We're flying into JFK on May 9th and then sailing home again (on the Queen Mary II) from Brooklyn on May 16th. Our original plan was to drive up to visit our good friends Julia Lane and Fred Gosbee for a few days, with a house concert definitely planned for Providence RI on the Saturday night and then another in Maine, and hoping to sort out something either on the way up or down in Boston. We're spending the final night (Thursday 15th) in NYC with my author pals Ellen Kushner and Delia Sherman.
However, we haven't had any positive plans so far from our Boston contacts and Julia and Fred have some family circumstances which means our planned visit isn't really a good idea.
So - are there any Mudcatters either in MA, ME, PA or NY who might (a) be prepared to host a house concert in the days between 10th and 15th May or (b)have any thoughts as to what we might do in our days at leisure? Steve has half a thought that he'd like to visit Colonial Williamsburg, so heading south to DC isn't out of the question ...
