I was raised in a compasionate christian family that recognized the value of diversity in many aspects of life. They rightfully did not load us down by promoting any specific lifestyle,superior racial group, political or religious agenda, or sexual orientation. But, they did instill in us a respect for those marginalized in society, and stressed a duty to stand up to those less compassionate folks who attempt to marginalize and demonize those in a minority.
