The Guest above gave this URL (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8DfkFV2NbrU) for a recording of the song as sung in 2010 by the songwriter's granddaughter, Malia, with her kindergarten classmates at Bayview Elementary School in Santa Cruz, CA. I think it's a little easier to understand, but I still have difficulties with parts. Here's my transcription.

MUMBLE GRUMBLE
(Minnie O'Leary)

You wonder why I sing the blues.
My daddy always makes me tie my shoes.
My mommy when she combs my hair,
Finds tangles that aren't even there.

CHORUS
Mumble grumble this is no fun,
You don't have to like it but it's got to be done.

My sister tells me clean the room.
I really wanna throw away the broom.
My grandma tells me wash your face.
I wanna throw the soap to outer space.

CHORUS
Mumble grumble this is no fun.
You don't have to like it but it's got to be done.
You don't have to like it but it's got to be done.
Mumble mumble grumble grumble got to be done.

It's in a book titled All day long songs by Minnie O'Leary, piano arrangements by Joyce Merman, illustrations by Anne Scott - published in 1979 by Shawnee Press, Delaware Water Gap, PA
