Maybe da woild.New Joisey state flower: the crushed beer can.
NJ state saying: "Duh."
My wife is from south Joisey, and gets mad at too many slaps at her homeplace (she feels that should be her privilege I guess). The farther south you go--and incidentally the Mason-Dixon line goes through south Jersey--the more interesting stuff is there, albeit highly developed in most cases. The Pine Barrens, Barnegat Bay, Cape May, and the coastal bird sanctuary named after her-uncle-the-congressman are all pretty nifty little ecosystems.
Which is just to say there is still some stuff there worth protecting. Hardest kind of ecosystem to protect there: a family farm.
