Funny really Dave. I genuinely class his work as folk in the genre sense. Not just for the hornpipe in Tubular Bells but the echoes of traditional tunes in some of his other work.

His folk genesis in Sallyangie may have set the seed in my mind, but grab a glass, close yer eyes and listen to Hergest Ridge. Your preconceived image of him will slowly but surely morph into a beard, sandals with socks and fairisle sweater.
