There will be a partial solar eclipse on Christmas Day. Here in central Kentucky it will occur around mid-day and will cover 51% of the upper half of the sun. My astronomer buddy gave me the glasses from the Astronomy magazine (Jan. 2001 issue) so I'll be watching. Sure hope the sky is clear. We haven't had one of these for 400 years!
