The Eurovision Song Contest has been recognised as a "freak show" for decades.....Folkies have always treated it with derision, as they do the X Factor.

Point 1. By whom? Point 2. No they haven't. You have enough proof on here that some people who enjoy folk music also enjoy Eurovision. How about changing your encompassing statement from 'folkies', which seems to indicate all 'folkies' to 'some people', such as yourself, which is much more accurate.
