The few pounds are MUCH MORE ACCEPTABLE than the cigarettes, please don't weaken in your resolve, eat and be happy. Comfort eating is much more widespread than is admitted and (without wanting to get involved in technical arguments!!!) is usually harmless in comparison to the original issue that caused it.
