Ah them was the days eh?Rog.When you ran the peoples voice and it was ALL inclusive..happy days but we must move on and keep music live..

We dont do that by distancing ourselves to what is going on.Give the Beverley fest. a chance it only ran the one year on the racecourse so a lot of hitches.You dont solve any of that by smugly sitting in pubs saying you are the real face/authority of local music.

The so called fringe is only a very small part of what Beverley fest has to offer.You cant even field local MCs to rtun your "Sessions?" bringing in people from Hartlepool and Sheffield.

Some of the best MCS like Sir Rog and the big lad who run Monks sessions have left the area and moved on.

So come on ..Chris Wade and her team has bent over backwards to put on one of Britains top festivals..a familly festival Beverley can be justly proud of.

Let us all give her our unstinting support..
