I now assume they're all his own words, but he's too much of a gent to claim copyright.

I once saw him play a jumpin' dance set, with the caribbean setup, ---to a seated jazz cabaret audience!
Since I was working another R&R club in Edinburgh at the time, that had no seats, I determined to book him in there next time.
Ligged it as far as the dressing room door and knocked........."Whaddaya wan?" boomed from inside, as the door opened 2". Explained my quest to a face through the gap. "Hang on" came the reply.
The next thing to emerge from the gap was a beer-can pipe, fully loaded with ganja. "Smoke that!"
I returned the finished toke, and was then admitted.
"Have a seat, man an' NOW whaddaya wan'" says Taj.
