One way of getting performers to the so called fringe..and injecting a bit of proffessionalism into otherwise dreary repetative amatuers and book singers, would for the paid artists to have it written into their conracts that they would attend singarounds and do a spot.


I believe Mick and Shanty Jack did this in The Hull Shanty Festival and Mick in The Beverley Shanty fest and Hull festival last year and it worked splendidly.

This would have course meant that some of the so called fringe people would have to get off their arses and approach Chris Wade..but there again you can't have everything you wish for?
