I see this as one of the positive aspects of the folk community... the willingness to pitch in and contribute without the "what's in it for me" attitude.

here comes the geek speak - people are social animals and what helps bind us together is the trait of reciprocity.... not a dirty word but a social interaction that involves bonding through exchanging favors. This can be very complex interactions, but explains a great deal about human interactions.

This does not take away anything from Joe's good deed, and goes to show that one way we define good people is how they treat others. The other end of the spectrum are those who have very negative attitudes and always suspect the worst of others. We see all to much of that these days, and not just on Mudcat.

So thank you, Joe, for your nice act... and thank you, pattyjack, for giving a shout out.
