I was away for 13 hours, most of it driving. The car runs, it was a horribly expensive repair, and I think they diddled the transmission to make it work with the flawed sensor. I'm not sure how they would do that, but the RPMs are pretty high now and it runs rough when it idles. I need to get Chevy to check out this "repair." My mileage wasn't as good on the way home, not by a long shot. It was up to 40mpg on the way out, never got above about 29 on the way back (I reset the calculator to get a measurement without reference to previous numbers).

Laundry is in, dogs are in, I'm headed to bed. I had to wind down after a lot of iced tea on the road.
