Thread Name: Lyr Req: 'Picture November' Grade 5 fave
Subject: ADD: Four Great Horses
I was hoping that "Picture November" would be in the songbook with "Four Great Horses," but it wasn't. Anyhow, here's "four Great Horses." I swear we've had this song in a thread before, but I can't find it.

FOUR GREAT HORSES
(Czech folk song, translated by Alma Alice Turechek)

Four great horses at the gate
Toss their heads of dapple, dapple grey,
Stretch their necks and swish their tails,
Pay wand snort and whinny and neigh.

REFRAIN
Tra la la, tra la la, tra la la la la la la la la,
Tra la la, tra la la, tra la la la la.

Wearing his new cap of green,
Pepichek comes down the winding lane.
Four abreast he'll harness them,
Plow the fields and cut the grain.

Anybody know what Czech song this comes from?
