Germany had to labor mightily to get the win over Algeria. Which is what they're good at - laboring mightily. Similar to the US, most of whose wins in their international history have been from being scored on first.

That said, I don't expect France to be much of a problem for Germany. Belgium will be the test for the US side. Those guys are bigger and brawnier than them. Argentina should be able to beat Switzerland because of Messi, but you never know - he's had some off games lately.

On the other side, I'm rooting for Columbia - they've been playing better Brazilian-style football in this tournament than the host side.
And Costa Rica could just keep surprising everyone - I would not want to call that one.

All in all, it's been a more exciting World Cup than the last two, if not more. I'm enjoying it.
