I think I've heard of Public Interest Network, Janie, but I didn't know anything about them. Seems like their main interest is environment.

Sounds like it uses techniquest similar to those used by PICO, a faith-based community organizing network that I'm involved with. The focus of PICO is social issues - I'm working on jail reform, immigration, homelessness, and healthcare.
