What a wonderful surprise to find this thread. I met Joan in Yellowknife NWT in the mid 80's at the Folk On The Rocks festival with Maggie Crystal ( who stayed with my daughter Gli and I) She was one of the warmest people I have met with a wicked sense of humour, we had the best time. She gave me her album and wrote on it "I hover over your left shoulder", one of my favourites. I still have it and treasure it. My other favourite is When I can't Play. Such a talent, a terrible loss. She is remembered with love.
