Soap. Rub over the area with the edge of a bar of soap. If any of the rubbing squeak is caused by contact with wood, soap should help. Ivory would be okay, but something heavier might be better. Lifebouy or Dial or even a good olive oil soap. It's what carpenters use to keep drawers from sticking and such.
