I'd certainly not discourage anyone from seeking background information, Jeri, but I would always prefer face-to-face interaction with medical professionals with regard to my personal health issues (which have been considerable, and include gall-bladder, pancreas, biliary-duct and severe liver conditions), and I would always advise others to do likewise.

Don't forget that, in the UK, access to health care at all levels is free to the patient at the point of delivery - hence there is no advantage, financial or otherwise, in seeking advice elsewhere when we can consult medical professionals at no cost.
