At Sdidmouth Folk Festival the kiddies were playing together in the Blackmore Garden Ceilidh Tent enclosure, probably all 11 or younger.
Basically they had a baseball cap but any robust cloth based item would suffice. And rather than touching the next person, they threw the cap at someone's legs. They were having huge fun while mum & dad were having huge fun on the dance floor.

Not seen it before unless pre-dementia is kicking-in. Is this evolution, folk process, re-invention or an age old tradition?
