I dunno how it is for y'allses but I was feeling like I didn't know "what I could do about Ferguson" until I picked up on long-established post-vacay priorities. We had gotten back with no time to spare before weekend church services, so Job One was eat, sleep. I fit checking email and FB around that, checked the news (omg ferguson).... it had been a no-TV vacay.

We also knew that Monday (yesterday) would be devoted to an all-day funeral. Still, last night I got onto the Week One tasks-- getting a songbook to the printer by making final, Final, FINAL corrections. And as soon as I opened the text I saw God's plan for me as clear as day: it's the JUSTICE songbook, I reminded myself. Greg surprised me also with a long-needed autoharp repair, so now I can songlead from that book. It's got racial equality all thru it!!! Next: craft a Diocese - wide piece on Ferguson.... because I can and because no one else has done it.
