Our favorite version of The Black Velvet Band, has always been The Dubliners. Probably not the one You're lookin' for. Many others have recorded it, including Armagh, The Blackwater Boys, The Clancy Brothers, Country Roads, Dropkick Murphys, Hugo Duncan, Empty Hats, Jesse Ferguson, Terry Griffin, Mark Gunn, Hair Of The Dog, Harry Hibbs, The High Kings, The Irish Rovers, Johnny Kelly & Ther Capitol Showband, Tommy Makem, Joe Markley, Mickey Modell, Dermont O'Reilly & Fergus O'Brien, Paddy Reilly, Ronan Quinn & Matt Glover, The Sandsacks, and many others. I think every Irish Singer, or Group, that we have ever heard, played/sand The Black Velvet Band.
