This is my favorite event of the year- non-event, I suppose if truth be told- but it has great significance to me. May we all be entering a year of unprecedented joy and satisfaction. (Let's all ignore the bush behind the white house and the men and women it is sheltering and shoring up. Maybe things won't be as bad as they might.)
