I thought that Kate was the easiest singer-songwriter to listen to that I ever heard. She made even the shallow songs sound wonderful. "An Unfinished Life" has to be one of the most stunning songs I've EVER heard. Only Jo Stafford's voice grabbed me the way Kate's did. And I'm an unrepentant traditionalist. But I also know what I like.
