What does your boy Ghillie mean when he says "meow"??! (Does he date members of the feline persuasion?) Quondam is a perfectly good Latinate English word, though perhaps it would be more at home in the pedants and langu thread. It means "former" as in "my former employer" or "sometime" as in "and his sometime girlfriend". Feel free to use it. ;-)
