Can anyone provide a song title and/or more complete lyrics to the following?

"Yesu, if thou wouldst make the roses bloom for me,
as once you did in Sicily."

That is all I have (and it may not be entirely correct). I have no more information. My Dad remembered this lyric from his youth and told me that he always loved the song. He can't remember anything else about it. It is 80th bday this year and I'd like to find and maybe perform this song for him.

Any help on the lyric, title, and tune would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!
