When I was at sea there was a song an old matelot used to sing when he'd had a beer or two. I think it was Royal rather than Merchant.

'You've got a face like a mess deck locker
Eyes like a Dogger Bank cod'

Can't for the life of me remember the rest of it.
I think we'd all had a beer or two at the time!!
