Subject: ADD: There'll Come a Day (Killian)
I'm working as a volunteer on the committee producing Rise Again, the sequel to the Rise Up Singing songbook. One of the songs we want to include is "There'll Come a Day," by Bob Killian. The song was published in 1984 in Fast Folk Musical Magazine with a recording by Bob Killian, with Pete Seeger and others. Does anyone know how we can contact Bob Killian to get permission to publish his song in a songbook? We've contacted various e-mail addresses but received no response.
It's a lovely song, and it would be nice to be able to include it.

THERE'LL COME A DAY
(Bob Killian)

There'll come a day when our rivers will run again
Pure on their way
There'll come a time when we'll cherish the life in our
Oceans & bays
C F (4x)

Let the light (Let the light) shine out upon the land
Let the love (Let the love) flow out of everyone
And the way (And the Way) will break upon the darkness
Of the storm / There'll come a day! (There'll...) (2x)
Em F (3x) G - / C F /    /
...when the wheels of war will evermore / Stand & decay
...when the hunger in the youngest eyes / Will no longer stay

…when the strong will no longer make the / Weak ones pay
…when the homeless will have a safe, warm / Place to stay

…when justice & truth will rule / All that we say
…when everyone, everyone will / Stand & say…
