Subject: RE: Star Trekkin' - seeking to license for songbook
Up at the top of the thread, you'll see that Branwen23 posted the lyrics to "Star Trekkin'" a one-hit wonder by a UK group known as "The Firm. Well, the song has enduring popularity, and the Rise Up Singing people want to include it in their new songbook, Rise Again - and I"m on the songbook committee. Songfile.com says the authors are John O'Connor/Rory Kehoe/Graham Lister - and I have not been able to track down any of the three. I did contact another member of the group, Bill Martin, and he said that John O'Connor is the person who controls the rights to this song. As far as I can tell, John O'Connor was living in the Santa Barbara area and performing New Age music with a band named EKO. He recorded on the Higher Octave label. But so far, O'Connor has not responded.
Can anybody help me reach him?

Thanks.
