have to agree with hesk. if people have paid to see an advertised act and that act is cut short too much, there may be objection by the punters. on the other hand , if you go to sessions in order to sing rather than listen to a main act, you might want to give it a miss and do something else. I tend to prefer the singaround or open mic and have the variety.
