Yesterday I found a job opening at my university that was first open last summer. I interviewed, but wasn't the one selected. Evidently whoever was selected didn't work out because it is open again now, four months later, with a slightly different title and they refined the job requirements a bit. I'll be turning in my application on or before Monday.

It's a lovely autumn day, brisk, bright sunshine. The kind of day I crave, to afirm that summer is finally over. I need to get out in the yard to do some tidying after last week's windstorm and to finish some earlier projects (chipping branches, using the new reciprocating saw to take out some redundant fence posts from when there were back to back fences along one side of my yard. I dismantled the slats, but not the uprights).
