I always want to make requests and then don't because I figure you performers know what you want to play and what you like to play and what you think you'd play well...

The exception is if I'm traveling, for some reason, somewhere where I might not get to come back to, then I will ask.

In Ireland as we were going from Galway to Dublin we asked for the Rocky Road to Dublin, which the Ragamuffins sang in Dublin itself, but mostly what we wanted was stuff too old-fashioned for them, which is why I don't usually make requests also.
