'The use of "Native American" or "native American" to refer to peoples indigenous to the Americas came into widespread, common use during the civil rights movements of the 1960s and 1970s.' Wikipedia.

The term would not conceivably have been used by Shaw, who died in 1950. Why some people have had errors in their sources pointed out to them choose to persist in their delusions, with the support of notorious trouble-making near-trolls who revel in shit-stirring, is a complete mystery to me.

But I suppose we all have our hobbies.

I meanwhile maintain my oft cited "Accuracy Matters" as my watchword, and will not be deterred from its exercise by mannerless abuse or mulish obstinacy.
