Blandiver how can you possibly know what any of the William McBrides buried in the war graves would have thought about Bogle's sentiment after they had experienced the horrors of the war? You are simply projecting your own views on to someone else who may or may have not been a specific person. Bogle at least in the song gives his views and wonders what the soldier would think. You've already seem to have made up your mind that you know what the soldier thinks.
