Clarence Ashley was born in 1895; compare "Baby All Night Long" by the Blue Ridge Mountain Entertainers, which mentions "got the... blues" and "if I had listened to what mama said" and "I ain't got no kin," to the Pratcher brothers' "If It's All Night Long," and "Late Last Night," and "The Bucket's Got A Hole In It" (which is a relative of "Keep A Knockin'," which we know predates 1909 as a relative of "Take A One On Me").
