I've often advised people on Mudcat - who are visiting North Yorkshire to visit our sessions at the Ship Inn Pub in Marske. Unfortunately for one reason or another we have moved on to the Top House at Marske ( officially called the Zetland Hotel) but everyone knows it as the Top House.
Every Wednesday (now) good landlord, nice atmosphere/acoustics and whether you just want to listen or play, come - and feel welcome.
Strangely - we're quite organised as no one is "in charge" so, if you want to sing - feel free, provided that you don't mind musicians sensitively playing along with you .
Almost every taste is catered for , we mix Trad and fun - no bother.
