In the US, we had a supplemental policy for our instruments through our homeowners policy. It cost a couple hundred dollars a year for $15,000 worth of coverage. It wouldn't have replaced every last instrument if something happened, but it would replace a few with good quality new ones. Not that you can replace the way some instruments handle and sound.
