Learned this in third grade. Tune still fresh in memory (after -- YIKES!! -- over fifty years!), but the only lyrics I remember are the last two lines:

"Hark!" said the tree, "I hear a robin sing;
I must wake up, for it must be spring!"

The tune reminds me a bit of both "Early One Morning" and "In an English Country Garden", with a very steady, moderately-paced 4/4 beat throughout.

Any clues out there? Title, composer, ANYTHING?
