Gallus Moll is correct over the confusion in terminology and (hence incorrect thread title). The TMSA ( Traditional Music and Song Association of Scotland) started life in 1966, so is not far short of FIFTY years old. It does sponsor the Scots Singer of the Year Award within the Scots Trad Music Awards.
The full title for the awards is the MG ALBA Scots Trad Music Awards: MG ALBA has been sponsor since 2008, and yes, this was the 12th year of the awards overall. Some of the awards were not shown in the TV coverage, but you can get the full list from Bruce's link above.
