The theory that ,to me anyway,has always seemed most credible / plausible is that Miller's aircraft probably went off course and flew through an area designated for the dumping of bombs from allied bombers that were "hung up" or were still aboard after aborted missions.I believe that such aircraft, and unfortunately Miller's, could easily have been in the "Danger Zone" at the same time.
