I'm sure you're right. Many years ago there was a BBC history programme during which an ex-US airman claimed to have witnessed Miller's plane caught at low altitude in a shower of bombs dumped in the English Channel following an aborted mission. The plane he saw was similar to Miller's, and it was on the day he disappeared.
