I finally succumbed this morning. By 10 am it was clear not much was going to get done so I resigned myself to reading and doing little things: stewed a big pot of apples and brought them with me, made up some choc covered ginger as I have not done any for a while, checked that counter for suitability and think it can work if we put a double sink in the already cut hole. I can live with that. Finished a novel, drank lots of thyme tea, nettle/green tea and a cup of "breathe easy" tea. Gave up and ate dark choc until satiated; it is a decongestant and it worked. HAd a nice veg/chicken supper. Trekked out to the car three times with stuff to bring; that was enough of that - through lots of snow. Now I feel plumb wore out and have been on FB and emails for over an hour - ready for bed. R is still at work.

Tomorrow is the first day of jury trial for the man who assaulted him about 4 years ago. One charge is "attempted murder". A highly stressful period for us; if he does not get substantial prison time, we will live in fear ---forever? When I was a probation officer, years ago for 18 months, I only recommended jail twice. I am strongly opposed in general but this is the type of person who really needs to be incarcerated for safety sake. I am feeling tearfully stressed and I know R is also. Could be that is why my energy is low?
