Vic, the papier mache figure of the Kelty Clippie is based on Barbara Dickson, who was part of John Watt's Great Fife Road Show -- as was Brian Miller, whose wife Jan made the sculpture.

(Over the years she also made models of Jeannie Robertson, Willie Scott, Jimmy MacBeath and Davy Stewart -- complete with accordion -- which often appeared at TMSA festivals, and even on Gordeanna McCulloch's CD cover!)
