Cray's book on Guthrie shows he did his homework and will allow you to pick out the fact from the fiction in Guthrie's autobiographical novel _Bound for Glory_, which, of course, is still good reading.

Jean Ritchie's autobiography _Singing Family of the Cumberlands_ is beautiful. Read it aloud and sing the songs.
