Makes me think of BB King, who named his guitar "Lucille". Once upon a time, some guy wrote to New Musical Express and said he'd noticed BB was playing two other guitars in his recent (CA. 1978) concert in the UK , and what were they called? The response was that BB owned 47 guitars, and they were all called Lucille. My guitar is called "Willie Mae", but that was not my idea (previous owner - one Big Bill Broonzy). We don't name instruments in our house- but all our cars have stupid names, like the white and black one was Cuddles (after a famous killer whale), the graphite grey one was Penny (pencil grey), and the current blue one is Bonnie. My cousin Pete had a green van called Blue (as in Come on Blue, you good van, you).
