City:
It is almost time to leave for the cafe if I am going; still do not know who is playing or how to find out. The schedule we have is at the mill! In any case, I need to go down tomorrow to prepare - physically and mentally - for the last winter Farmers' Market on Sunday.

Picked up a small wood bookcase yesterday aft. Free on Craigslist. When I arrived, the lovely, very pregnant, young woman greeted me, "I know you! You're the pottery lady!" She actually had two of my small pots, one for the cat! What are the chances in this BIG city! She lives fairly close but on Nun's Island, a rather upscale area which has been developed, with multi-family buildings, over the last 40 years leaving enough green areas and big trees to feel almost rural. I think I got lost coming back; found my way but it took twice as long! One can never have too many bookcases!

Trying to get my ducks in line for the upcoming house purchase: A couple days ago I sold shares I had had for about 20 years. They were basically "found money". They came in the mail, a total mystery and a wonder I did not just through the paper away. When I moved to Whidbey, I handed it to my #1 son and asked if it was worth anything. Click click, click and "Yes, $12.000." OMG! So we put it in his filing cabinet until I moved here. They were down some - about $11,000 and now that is in my account. And I do not have to think about it any more! I have been checking it almost daily for months!

Today, I finally took it upon myself to change US dollars to CAD, also in prep. I was waiting for R to say what to do but decided this was not happening and convinced myself I could do it. I got an exchange rate from a place nearby, and near my bank. Went to the bank to get a draft to take up the street but the nice teller asked me the rate - 3 cents higher than the bank was offering. So, apparently for $18.000, the bank was willing to give me a better rate and so we settled on that. I netted about $22,500. Now all the needed money is in my account!

This greatly de-clutters my brain which was labouring over, for me, unique transactions.

I took action on two pots of canna that have been sitting dry since last fall. A shoot appearing in one, I watered them and put them where they will get max light for now.

And other than emails and FB, that is all I have managed today. I wrapped the pots made yesterday (or was that Weds?) so they will stay damp until I get back on Monday or Tuesday.
