I have a pair of milk snakes living in the crawl space of my cottage. Right now, they're hibernating, I know this because the rodents have become rather bold. No mice to be found when the snakes are awake. They like to shed their skins under the water heater in the shed, which makes me very popular with my younger nephews, as well as assorted almost-nephews.
