Large box of books hauled off - sold a bunch to the local used book store for store credit. I call that condensing my book collection, as one gets about a quarter of the worth of the books and they only give store credit. I will only spend what I have in credit and utilize the library more, as I was just told by my mechanic that my car is not worth putting any more money into. Well, I got six years and and around 80,000 miles out of it and was the third owner. Still, I really, really like this car!

I could probably have sold more of the books at a different bookstore, but then I would have had them hanging around until I could get to Portland, and that bookstore has more temptation in it than the local place that deals primarily in fluffy romance novels. I donated the rest to the library book sale and felt good about it.
