I was told that IE will soon be replaced . Because I have to test my websites on as many browsers as I can this was news to me so I went looking.

Spartan implies a trimmed-down version. Network gurus told me they can't use IE now becuase of the security restrictions. Something I found , but having said that Safari, Chrome had the same restriction, FireFox 34 did not.
Go figure
