Yes - I actually keep a small box of chlortrimatron here in case I can't sleep. That doesn't happen often, but when it does, this stuff is perfect. Perhaps the Dex is the active ingredient.

I take a generic daily Zyrtec generic, purchased at a warehouse club for $16 for 400. My dog has allergies to some of the ingredients in dog food, the vet says give him 3 a day. I've been trying different brands and read the ingredients, but don't have the perfect food yet, though it is getting much better for him.

When my allergy season is in full swing I boost it by taking a benedryl at bedtime to help knock out the effects of pollen while I'm asleep (a pharmacist recommended this) or I use Sudafed during the day on top of the Zyrtec. Guiafed is a lifesaver during the sinus congestion stage of allergies, good thing it is inexpensive in the generic forms.

There is a long list of stuff to finish today so I need to hit the yard running.
